It’s Open Season – Let the Games commence…
Ladies and Gentlemen, the CrossFit Open 2016 is now upon us.
If you haven’t get signed up right now!
By now you will all be familiar with CrossFit Open workouts. Since the start of January we’ve been through the majority of them, so whether you’ve been aware of it or not you’ve done plenty. And most of you have to admit that in some potentially weird way you’ve enjoyed challenging and testing yourself.
We’re encouraging you all to enter the Open and do the Workouts. If nothing else they are a brilliant measure of your general fitness. But they are also much more than that. During these workouts you’ll learn a lot about yourself. Did I push hard enough? Could I have gone faster? Did I go too hard too soon? All these questions and more you’ll ask yourself after each workout. You may or may not like the answer but you will have learned something!
Getting your Open preparation right.
Make sure you have watched the announcement videos and are fully aware of the standards required in the workout. As an athlete you are responsible to make the standards. You will also be required to judge for someone else. When judging you MUST give NO REPS if standards aren’t met. Tom, Vasos and myself will not verify athletes’ scores or the judges scores if reps aren’t compliant. That means you won’t have a score at all if you aren’t judging standards properly!
Due to the Open the next five weeks of programming has been adjusted.
